I caught my husband sleeping with my brother’s wife, so I quietly swapped the lubricant in his bag for industrial glue.

Through a side window, I saw two figures arguing near the aircraft.

Arthur and Julian.

Julian held the certificate.

Arthur held a metal briefcase.

Even through the glass, I could hear Julian shouting.

“You promised me ten million.”

“You failed.”

“I kept Elena out of the company for five years.”

“And she returned in one day.”

“I forged the forms. I moved the money. I married her because you told me to.”

Arthur’s voice remained cold.

“You married her because you were weak and indebted.”

Julian raised the certificate.

“Without this, Evelyn controls the company.”

“Give it to me.”

“Pay me.”

Arthur opened the briefcase.

Stacks of currency filled it.

Julian stepped closer.

The police commander whispered into his radio.

Before officers entered, a third person emerged from behind the jet.

Serena.

She wore a hospital coat over borrowed clothes.

Brandon stared through the window.

“What is she doing here?”

Serena held up her phone.

“I recorded everything,” she said.

Julian turned pale.

Arthur’s expression did not change.

“You should be in the hospital.”

“I should have stayed away from both of you.”
